The ALTI® EGR describes the normal shape and altitude of the soil surface on a large scale.
The ALTI® RGE is the complete rehabilitation of the "altimetry" theme of the topographic component of the large-scale repository (RGE®). A repair program was initiated in 2009; its objective is to build a digital field model (MNT) at a 1-meter pitch over the whole of France.
The accuracy of the MNT actually varies according to the areas and the stakes: it is increased to 20 centimeters EMQ in flood or coastal areas to meet the needs related to the implementation of the European flood directive.
